SkADaMo Nov 19: King David

This is Midori's boy kitty, King David.

I'm going to have to start calling these "finished drawing per two days month" drawings instead of Sketch A Day... I am a bit behind... getting too fussy! All this fuuuuuurrrrr!!!

All digital: Painter 10 Real 2B Pencil and Square Soft Pastel on "Grainy Pastel Paper".

  1. You really are doing so well with digital Leanne... I stick with pencil on paper most of the time. I need to explore digital more... but it is cold sitting at my computer, and I can curl up in a cosy chair with a pad and pencil :)
    Your kitty images are wonderful.

    1. Thanks June. I really don't feel I am so good at digital since I just use the pencil and pastel, and they work pretty much the same way as on paper... I'd sit in the same chair if I was drawing with a real pencil! :) I haven't learned any of the real tricks in digital... I was going to say that the pencil and pastel don't even smear or smudge, it is just straight up drawing (sometimes I lasso and scale or move something over)... but hah, I bet there are smudge tools in Painter, I've just never looked for them.

  2. Loving these pet portraits - too bad I don't have one to commission!
