SkADaMo Day 4: Amazy

Here is cartoonist Lee Kennedy's kitty, "Amazy". I drew her first in regular Real 2B Pencil brush in Painter 11, and then added in a blue pastel background, with the white lines on the fabric drawn in eraser, again in Painter 11. What do you think?

    1. Thank-you! And yes, it was a costume. Well, the birkenstocks, the coffee cup, the hoodie, the drafting brush are real. :) I never wear a housecoat or work in my pjs in real life... and that is a wig. And the first time I put rollers in since I was about 4 yrs old!

    1. Thanks so much! It is just direct realistic sketching from life (or in htis case a photo... she's overseas)... not so "artistic" or "creative"! :)

    1. Thanks so much! They are willing (but not patient) models. Though this one is from a photo (my friend's cat, she's in London UK)

    1. I have never tried an iPad! I think it is a little less precise, but I have seen some fun and amazing things done on one. Definitely it helps to have deadlines and expectations to get one sketching again! It had been 2 yrs I hadn't touched this blog before SkADaMo!
